Bill Walker Pee Pants
Not only do they lose a game at home to an average Oregon team in a game that the should have won in regulation, only to squander away a chance at a tie in overtime, but Bill Walker also uses a Power Towel or two to relieve himself.....it doesn't get much better than this. This is Kansas State Basketball!
a little write up about it from some K-State idiot
Walker came over with about 2 seconds left while they were reviewing how much time was left on the clock after he stole the hail marry pass. He runs over to the bench jumping up and down and holding his balls. He'd been hit a couple times in the throat by Catron and Taylor, so I assumed they went with the low blow this time. NOT THE CASE! I hear him say "I GOTTA PISS! I GOTTA PISS!", looking around all frantic. Coach Underwood just kinda stood there not knowing what to suggest. That's when Walker grabs a few Gatorade towels, shoves em down his pants, and the next thing I know we got drips on the Bramlage floor. Everybody started goin' wild...Anderson was laughing about how the photo guys were all taking pictures, meanwhile Luis put up another towel to block the picture process, as Hoskins and Co. just kept repeating "Are you serious??". Underwood and some other guys were shoving their fists in their mouths to contain laughter, and I really don't know if Martin saw a bit of it. IT WAS CRAZY!
Conference Rankings
So obviously this would be a lot easier to do after the bowl games when we see these teams face off against their supposed equals. However, I much prefer to whip out my junk and slap it down on the table for all to see. That way, I can be proven right by the bowl games as opposed to using them as a reflective tool. Besides, since the important games don't take place for another five plus weeks, I'll probably forget most of what I think I know by then.
1. SEC - The Kim Jong Il
Pretty obvious choice, even for a fan of the Big 12. Just ask them. Top to bottom, this is the best league in the country. However, I by no means think they are the absolute pinnacle of college football – or to parallel – I don't see them the same way Dick Vitale sees ACC basketball. I know their fans are enthusiastic, the tailgating is great and the stadiums are enormous – color me green with envy – but I'm unsure why that definitively makes them the only relevant conference.
Just for kicks, here is a list of your notable out of conference wins. Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, and Florida State. Not one of those came on the road and there were absolutely no other significant wins. Those wins were comprised by LSU, Auburn, Georgia and Florida – arguably the four best teams in the conference.
And here is a gander at your out of conference losses. South Florida, West Virginia, Florida State, Louisiana Monroe and California. Two were on the road, two were at home and one was on a neutral field. And lest we forget, all of these losses came from the likes of Auburn, Miss. State (4-4 in SEC), Alabama (4-4 SEC) and Tennessee (in your conference championship game). I won't mention Auburn's near home loss to the Purple or 'Bama's near miss against Houston.
If you want to tell me that you have the toughest eight conference games, fine by me. But in order to prove it you have to do a tad more outside of your conference.
2. Big 12 - The Bizarro Jerry
Needless to say, this year was interesting. First things first, the North was the superior division. Secondly, Kansas and Methzouri comprised the best conference records and may get both BCS bids. Several teams had a Jekyll and Hyde identity. And then there's Nebraska.
There is not a whole lot to stand on outside of the conference. Methzou handled the same Illinois team on a neutral field that TOSU couldn't when they were two wins from the national championship and in the Horseshoe. Oklahoma destroyed Miami, but who didn't. Kansas State dominated Auburn in Jordan Hare until the inevitable Freeman blunder. The biggest thing that stands out here was that there were no bad losses. Except of course in the Purple's last game of their self-destruction at Fresno State.
Oklahoma State was handled by Georgia (it's worth mentioning that they were without 2 of their best players with Savage out and Robinson not yet in). Texas A&M was hammered by someone claiming to be Miami. Nebraska was run over by USC – though no worse so than against Kansas, Methzou, OSU, TAMU, or Colorado. Iowa State was humiliated, but that continued on through Big 12 play. Baylor was actually good outside of the conference (0-8 in it), but not against anyone with a pulse.
The biggest reason this team gets the nod at # 2 is because of the top 3. MU, KU, and OU currently rank 1, 5 and 9 in the BCS. Until OU was beaten by Tech, they were all in the top 5. But there is a lot more talent as well. And maybe I'm bias, but based on my predicted bowl matchups below, I don't see any way they don't go at least 5-3, with 6-2 very likely.
3. Pac-10 - The Jim Carey
Everything was once so promising. At the beginning of the year, USC was heralded as the best team to ever grace the college gridiron. Oregon was destroying everyone – even Michigan! And Cal had just pounded Tennessee. These three were supposed to be the KU, MU and OU. Instead they all shit the bed in a variety of ways.
USC lost to freaking Stanford. Yes, the same Stanford that was just beaten by Notre Dame and earlier lost to TCU. I guess this one is tough to count against the conference as Stanford is technically a member, but come on. Oregon, on the other hand, was bitten by some bad luck with Dennis Dixon's knee crumbling. And he is a great player, but can a team be that great if they are so dependant on one person? Now we come to Cal – wha happened? In the first five weeks they were undefeated, they destroyed the SEC East champion and the Oregon Dixons, but have barely won since.
Perhaps I am reading this all wrong and it is a sign that the conference is good, since most of their bad losses have come in conference. But then I remember Notre Dame and the fact that the Pac 10 provided 2 of their 3 wins. And even worse, I remember that UCLA could still win the conference yet were beaten at home by Notre Dame 20-6. The fact of the matter is, every year the Pac 10 is heralded as a great conference and every year all of its big name teams (save USC) disappoint. And this year, even the Trojans have faltered. Apparently they were hurt when they played Stanford and now could beat anyone. Funny how I still don't give a shit. If they really wanted to play for a national championship they would have found a way to beat the Cardinal. Everyone else did.
4. ACC - The John Mayer
Wow, I am almost ashamed to have done that. But do you really think the Big East or the Big 10 is any better? That's what I thought. The thing about the ACC is – it should be so good. Most of the schools are in a recruiting hot bed. Most of them have great alumni support and over-zealous fan bases. Three of the teams were perennial powers as recently as five years ago. Yet they continue to suck.
The best teams in the conference have been Virginia Tech, Boston College and Virginia. Really? The same Virginia Tech team that was beaten 48-7 by LSU has the best conference record. The same Virginia team that lost 23-3 to Wyoming and beat Middle Tenn. St. 23-21 is tied for second. Clemson is exactly where I expected them to be – about 3 notches below where they should be. When was the last time this team actually accomplished half of what it should have? And I don't think I really need to bother with Florida State or Miami. A long story short – this is a conference full of underachievers. They have the talent and ability, but choose to douche it away.
5. Big 11 - The Paris Hilton
Speaking of underachievers. For some reason this conference broods with arrogance, yet has accomplished absolutely nothing. Should I just keep it short and mention that Michigan was the second best team in the conference. You may have heard something about their loss to Appalachian State and/or their being run off the field by the Oregon Dixons. But as fun as it is to single out this point, my next one is even more eye catching though I have heard nothing about it nationally.
The best out of conference win – BY FAR – was Ohio State winning at Washington. For those of you that don't know, Washington is currently in last place in the Pac 10 and is 4-8 on the year. Go ahead and look it up. If there is a better one out there, I would love to hear it. After writing that, I'm starting to think I need to bump them down…
6. Big East - The One Trick Pony
But I just can't move up a conference in which UConn finished second. And I have a hard time believing that Michigan, Illinois, and even Penn State or Wisconsin would not be favored against UConn.
Granted, I'm pretty sure South Florida is actually the second best team in this league, it's hard to argue with the results on the field and this same UConn team beat them by a touchdown. Playing styles aside, this league looks a whole lot like their big brother, the Big 11.
They have one legitimate (but very flawed) team in West Virginia, a few also rans – South Florida, UConn, Rutgers and Louisville – and the others are hopeless. Where they best the Big 11 is in out of conference wins. They have one good one and another two that are decent. South Florida won at Auburn and West Virginia beat Mississippi State and won at Maryland. It's not much, but it destroys the out of conference resume of the Big 11.
In this crazy year, I won't argue that West Virginia does not deserve to play in the national championship. But if there is one person in this world that thinks they are more deserving than Missouri (if they win) and Kansas (had they won), I would love to hear why.

Lots of Denim
An always entertaining site, EDSBS has really outdone istelf here.
It's funny cause it's true.
Despite Callahan being axed I haven't seen a Husker this happy in quite some time.
In other news, it seems Methzourians(left) are not the only people who wear jean shorts. Why no T-Bone?! (right)
Between Chase and Timmy, I think someone needs to speak with the Downtown Athletic Club about doing away with the suits and converting to Canadian Tuxedos. Too bad we don't have a majority vote. Or do we? That last one seems to work a little better though. I'm not sure why.

Big 12 Bowl Predictions
Here are my humble predictions for what bowl season could bring, assuming Methzou beats an ailing OU this weekend. I really have no idea how much interest any of the bowls have in these schools, but if I were picking, this is how I would select. And other than Houston - which has already accepted - I have even less an idea about the opponents, but enough to speculate.
Methzouri (11-1, 7-1) Have a tough test this week against Oklahoma and as you may have noticed or will definitely notice tomorrow, they are standing on the train tracks of the SI cover jinx. At first I thought we Jayhawks had to root for them - now I'm not so sure. Prediction BCS Championship (v. WVA)
Oklahoma (10-2, 6-2) I wouldn't exactly say they have nothing to lose as the difference between the Fiesta and the Cotton is pretty significant, but the thought of Oklahoma playing with house money would not excite me if I supported the piss and black. Playing without Murray and English could be the difference though. Prediction: Cotton (v. Tenn.)
Kansas (11-1, 7-1) Just have to play the waiting game. Obviously everyone in blue is hoping for the Fiesta, even if it means we have to wait until January to watch Methzou's ultimate demise. But if they happen to Pinkel things this weekend and the Hawks end up in the Cotton, you won't hear me complaining. And lots of articles/opinions are surfacing that the best of both worlds could happen with Methzou losing and KU getting to a BCS game. I'm not entirely convinced though. Prediction: Fiesta (v. ASU)
Texas (9-3, 5-3) If anyone still doesn't think VY is the biggest reason Mack Brown is still coaching Texas, I would love to hear their alternative explanation. Given the ease of their conference schedule and how "bad" the Big 12 is, 3 losses is unacceptable for a team with their talent level. But Nebraska would probbaly beat the Ducks right now. Prediction: Holiday (v. Oregon)
Texas Tech (8-4, 4-4) This is an average, yet dangerous team. And Michael Crabtree is always fun to watch, so they should be a semi-attractive invite. Needless to say, this is not how they envisioned their season going though. But if they really go here, it will be hard to complain with a January bowl after a .500 conference season. Prediction: Gator (v. Virginia)
Texas A&M (7-5, 4-4) Another huge flop on the year. But hey, at least they beat Texas for the second straight year and got rid of Fran. Perhaps they will be paired against another perpetual underachiever. Prediction: Alamo (v. Michigan)
Oklahoma State (6-6, 4-4) Kind of a trend here. And we don't even get to discuss the 'Braskers. Hopefully Adarius will be able to play by the time their bowl arrives. Prediction: Insight (v. Indiana )
Colorado (6-6, 4-4) Not much was expected of this team before the season, so based on that (and their 2 wins last year), I would say it was a success. Add in the upset of OU and posting 65 on the Cornholes and it looks like Crazy Ass Hawkins could have them in the mix before too long. I'm not sure their hippie contingent will be flocking to Shreveport to support them though. Prediction: Independence (v. Kentucky)
And lastly, congrats to all the Jayhawks earning all Big 12 honors, especially Coach Mangino in the easiest Coach of the Year vote ever.

Maybe We Don't Have to Be Tiger Fans
It looks like at least a few people think the hawks are bcs bound no matter the outcome in San Antonio. I hope they are right tempe is nice this time of year...

“I’m trying to think of how you get to four at-large teams that don’t include Kansas,” said Jerry Palm, who studies the BCS and runs collegebcs.com. “I haven’t come up with a scenario where that happens yet.”
Of course it is probably easier if MU wins, but intriguing none the less to see what someone who knows his xs and os thinks about the chances...
[edit] Just noticed the fiesta is now in glendale not tempe...
**Added after by Hiphopopotamus** I'm not sure I believe it, but here is another bowl prediction showing Kansas in BCS with Methzou losing. One would like to think Ivan Maisel and the bowl analyst Jerry Palm knows more than I do? Schlabach is just a jackass altogether, so I'm not even going to bother looking at his projections.

MethzouRah?
It hurts oh so bad to say this, but if I didn’t I couldn’t truly call myself a fan of college football or more importantly, Kansas, so here it goes…Hats off and good luck to Methzou. For the next six days that is. I know many Jayhawks will not agree with me here, but the harsh reality is that in order to make a BCS bowl instead of the Cotton, OU can’t win the conference. (Click for larger image) So Tiger fans, get your sartorial splendor and your TransAm ready for a road trip to San Antonio. You have my reluctant support. And to the Methzou d-bags who posted comments last night at 12:21am and 4:17am...get a life. Your football team plays admirably and wins the biggest game in the history of what you call a University and you party animals celebrate by posting comments on rival blogs. Wow.
As for the game last night, I am still in shock. If you had told me at this time yesterday that Kansas would lose the turnover battle by two, miss two easy field goals, and be outgained both rushing and passing, I would have probably assumed the fetal position and been slightly less enthusiastic heading into Arrowhead. Yet that is exactly what happened and still, they were right there at the end. As I said, hats off to Methzou, they did exactly what I said Kansas would and that’s why they won the game. They were able to not only run effectively themselves but also basically eliminate the Kansas ground game. I blame a great deal of the latter on Kansas’ play calling (more on this later), but the fact of the matter is that Methzou took away something Kansas wanted to do and the Jayhawks could not return the favor.
And because of that, the jorts will be rampant throughout the River Walk next weekend. Quite frankly, as long as Pinkel is not allowed to make any decisions, I have to think Methzou has the upper hand. First, it’s incredibly hard to beat a time twice in a season. Secondly, they have all the momentum in the world. And third, they’re healthy. I didn’t see the OU game yesterday - and from the stat line (150 yards, 4TDs, 1 INT) Bradford was solid – but Murray is still missing. But if Booger can take care of the ball as well as he does his goatee and they can limit the run enough to make Bradford beat them, I don’t see how Methzou doesn’t win this game. As you may remember from the Tech game, the OU secondary is shoddy at best and getting 30 should not be a problem. Remind Pinkel that running fake field goals is not required.
Now for the real post mortem. I will not complain too much because I firmly believe coaching is as big a reason as any that Kansas is where they are. With that said, they called this game not to lose instead of to win. For 11 games they played how they wanted by being the aggressor, yet adaptive. Last night, they were tentative and stubborn. And because of that they fell behind 21-0. Sure they have always tried to establish the run (and they were right to last night as well), but there is no excuse for not getting more imaginative. Was it a surprise that they were able to shut down B-Mac? Of course. But if that’s the case, use the balance that got you where you are and utilize any number of alternatives. Most noticeably, Jake Sharp (1 carry) and by rolling out Hot Toddy A LOT more. And where was the Kerry Meier option. Maybe they would have defended it perfectly but there’s only one way to find out. And we never did.
Defensively, I only have one true complaint. Obviously the pass rush was not good, but that was to be expected. That hasn’t been a specialty all year and with McClinton hobbled and the Methzou tight ends commanding attention, I didn’t expect much here. However, I do not understand why their receivers were given such an enormous cushion. Other than Maclin, there was really no danger in getting beat deep, so why not jam them at the line and try and disrupt their timing. Lest we forget a huge part of the spread offense is based on timing. Because of this Booger was able to complete 40/49 passes for over 360 yards. Even if you’re terrified of succumbing to the big play, obviously they had figured out how to nickel and dime that defense so something different would have at least been a change of pace and put the onus on them.
And lastly, we come to special teams. First off, great work Kyle Tucker. You had three very solid punts and shed a blocker to tackle Maclin and save an early touchdown. We couldn’t have asked for much more. If only Scott Webb had eaten those same Wheaties. I don’t want to dwell on this too much, because you can’t point to first half miscues as excuses for losing. But it doesn’t take anything more than a Methzou degree to know that missing those 2 field goals was the difference in the game as it was ultimately played. Now, there is no reason to think that Methzou would have been trying to burn clock late if Kansas had 6 more points, but Kansas would have been able to play much differently as well. But we’ll never know and it doesn’t matter. Since that was simply execution, I am more questioning why the coaches did not adjust the kick return unit at some point. Obviously they did not want to kick to Marcus Herford – and for good reason. But why would Kansas not alter their return formation by, say, shifting everyone forward 7 yards. Three things can happen here. 1) They still kick short and you have the same situation but now Herford has the ball. 2) They kick it deep and if it stays in, you set up your return just as you normally will (though Herford may not have the same forward momentum). 3) They kick it deep and it rolls into/goes through the end zone. When you’re behind and needing a spark, I can’t think of any argument against this adjustment.
But alas, it has been a great regular season, despite the sour note it ended on. And now we must (gulp) root for Methzou to power through next week. From there, we will hold out hope hope that Pinkel can’t resist coaching in the national championship and they are humiliated ala Ohio State last year. It certainly looks like they will either be playing West Virginia or the aforementioned Buckeyes (neither are great) but if 2 in the Pinkel and 1 in the Stinkel is involved, a collapse is always possible.
Meanwhile, Kansas could still get an invite to either the Fiesta or Orange Bowl. Obviously this all assumes Methzou and WVA win next week and advance to the BCS Championship.
Rose: Ohio State v. USC
Sugar: LSU (or Tenn.) v. Georgia (I’m not sure how common it is to match conference opponents but this would be a great game and would draw huge fan support)
Fiesta: Kansas v. Arizona State
Orange: VaTech/BC winner v. Hawaii
If Methzou can’t prolong their inevitable Pinkel induced collapse for one more game and blows it this week, Kansas will likely be sent to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl. I can’t imagine WVA won’t be able to beat Wannstache with this much on the line.

KU/ Methzou Preview
I’m not thinking there is much of a reason to give an all out preview as the media coverage has been pretty overwhelming this week. However, I couldn’t possibly let tomorrow go by without getting my opinion on record. Since Methzou fans are the only ones in the nation who can’t recognize that these teams are evenly matched, we’ll go ahead and start with that assumption. And from there, I would have to say that despite all of the big play ability, this game will be decided on more of a facet than a single play. Either team could fall behind 14-3 and not be in any sort of trouble. With that said, the team that wins this game is going to be the one that takes away at least one thing the other wants to do.
Kansas Offense v. Missouri Defense
Obviously this is a very favorable matchup for the Jayhawks. First off, Hot Toddy should have no problem dissecting this unit with meticulous short routes and/or longer shots down the field. Long story short, Methzou simply does not play great defense. They have played good defense a total of 3 times all year. Right now, two of them looked damn impressive – but don’t be fooled. They held Nebraska to 6, Tech to 10 and Colorado to 10. Given the offense we have seen from the first two as of late, one would be impressed. But don’t be. Against Tech they simply got pressure on Harrell and he proceeded to act as if they were girls with cooties. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still an accomplishment – just not nearly to the extent that the Methzou fans seem to believe. As for Nebraska and Colorado, you just never know about those teams. One day theylook great and the next they look terrible. I'm much more impressed with the win over CU, but as I said, you just never know what you're gtting with these teams so it's hard not to take them with a grain of salt. In their other 8 games they have ranged anywhere from putrid to pitiful. They have yet to have a disastrous day and I doubt they ever will, because as bad as they are, they aren’t Nebraska.
However, we have not yet truly discussed the run defense, which is in one word: porous. If you watched the Purple James Johnson run for 172 yards last week, you know what I’m talking about. Yes, the same Purple team that doesn’t believe in running the football and couldn’t do it nearly this well any other week ran all over Methzou. They have a relatively average rank nationally, yielding 122 ypg, but that number is skewed due to the fact that most teams have been playing from behind. That should not be an issue this week and this could prove to be a huge advantage for the Jayhawks. If both offenses are scoring at will, then the one that can continue to move the ball while burning some clock on the ground will gain the advantage, as their defense will be able to rest. This could also be an even larger advantage if Kansas is able to build up an early lead. If so, they can work the clock and keep the Methzou offense off the field. Edge: Kansas
Kansas Defense v. Methzou Offense
Again, advantage offense. The Methzou offense is unquestionably better than the KU defense. I will be absolutely shocked if Methzou is held below 28 points. However, as I alluded to earlier, I think the team that wins is the one that can take away one thing from the other. And Kansas should be able to take away the Methzou running game. Even without being able to run the ball, Methzou can score some points - But I don’t think they can win the game. Not only will their defense suffer, but also their 3rd down conversion rate. Methzou leads the nation in the all important 3rd down conversions. Part of it is their tight ends, but another part is their balance. Teams cannot load up on any one thing so Methzou has plenty of options. However, if Kansas is stuffing their running game, they will be able to better defend 3rd downs. With an offense as good as Kansas’ if they can make Methzou one-dimensional, they will win the game. Edge: Methzou
Special Teams
This is about as even as they come. Maclin is getting all of the attention and hype – and deservedly so. And he is definitely the best punt returner on the field. However, Marcus Herford has proved just as explosive (having taken 2 back) and even more consistent on kick returns. As for punting, Kansas has a definitive edge with Tucker having the much stronger and more accurate leg. The place kickers are also strikingly similar, both with a long of 48 and having displayed an accurate leg on field goals and are basically automatic on PATs. Webb does have many more touchbacks and given the aforementioned Maclin and Herford, could prove beneficial. Edge: Even
I think I have made myself pretty clear here. And even so, I’m not sure what to think. These teams are incredibly similar. Both are efficient and explosive offensively. Missouri seems to have the more explosive and dangerous unit, but Kansas shows much better balance and ability to adapt. And both have questionable defenses, better equipped to stop the run than the pass. Kansas’ unit has been indisputably better all year, but has also shown a vulnerability to the pass. As long as they keep it to just that and don’t allow Temple any lanes, they should be in good shape. Kansas 37 Methzou 31

Poor Chase
KU/NAU
For obvious reasons, the Kansas/Northern Arizona basketball game tomorrow night will not get a lot of attention on this blog - or anywhere outside of Allen Fieldhouse - but I just love this picture and thought any loyal reader should be able to have a look at it here.
"Louie the Lumberjack"
And for those of you that don't know, NAU is a formidable opponent. That's not to say Kansas will or should have trouble with them but they should be a tourney team this year and played Arizona to within 7 in Tucson last week.

Big 12 Recap
I think we all know that the only game that truly matters this week is the one in Kansas City. However, on account of Oklahoma's inability to play an away game, there is added drama to the lagging, southern portion of the conference. And in keeping with tradition, here are the recaps, in order of chances to win their respective divisions.
North
1. Kansas (11-0, 7-0) Won v. ISU 45-7. So much for looking ahead. Kansas has already secured at least a tie for the north and after they Rock Chalk the Methzou fans out of Arrowhead, they will be on their way to San Antonio to play for a place in the national championship. It's safe to say that there will be a few more posts this week on this game.
2. Methzou (10-1, 6-1) Won @ KSU 49-32. Again, job well done avoiding the trap game. With that said, nothing excites me more than looking at the 172 yards they allowed James Johnson to run for – his highest total of the season and only the 3rd time in Big 12 play he went over 100. No shame in 10-2, especially if you don't choke away your bowl game…again.
Colorado (5-6, 3-4) Idle. I guess I have to put them here since that is how the standings look. Needless to say if they can't beat Nebraska and become bowl eligible, the early "momentum" they built will have completely dissipated.
Kansas State (5-6, 3-5) Lost v. MU 49-32. Again, I guess I have to put them over Nebraska for the time being, but that may not last. The Purple timeline for this season is hilarious. Lead Auburn before the inevitable Freeman blunder – hopes high… Destroy Texas in Austin – this team is the favorite to win the north… Humbled by Kansas – you all haven't played anyone… Humiliated by Nebraska – crap… Beaten by Methzou – "Beat KU! Beat KU!"… Open as dogs to Fresno State needing a win for bowl eligibility – Sounds about right.
Nebraska (5-6, 3-4) Idle. Similarly hilarious season just because of the high hopes they had through mid-September. A win in Boulder sends them bowling. And maybe saves Callahan's job? No way, but let's hope so.
Iowa State (3-9, 2-6) Lost @ KU 45-7. Team showed some fire in beating Ralphie and the Purple. Better luck next year.
South
1. Oklahoma (9-2, 5-2) Lost @ Tech 34-27. I told you all year that their secondary was suspect and somebody was going to expose them this year. Tech seemed like an obvious choice, but who would have predicted that OU would not be able to score on the same Tech defense that let UT score 59 the week before. To have that running game, with those backs, and with a new QB in no less – 106 yards rushing is just plain ridiculous. And now they need to win Bedlam without Murray and maybe Bradford. Eerily similar to last year when UT lost McCoy and subsequently lost their last 2 and the south in the process.
2. Texas (9-2, 5-2) Idle. They still need to beat A&M, but if they can't then they are worse than I thought. As a Kansas fan, I would much rather play UT than OU. Could be interesting.
3. Oklahoma State (6-5, 4-3) Won v. BU 45-14. I think they are technically still alive since they would own the tiebreaker with OU but lose it with Texas (if they lose), who would lose it with OU. What happens from there, I don't know. But even without that as motivation, I'm sure they would still love to play spoiler.
Texas Tech (8-4, 4-4) Won v. OU 34-27. Even though it wasn't really because of anything they did, they showed what they are capable of when they don't let the other team score just so they can get back on offense. They would seem a likely invite to the Gator Bowl, taking place on Jan. 1. Hard to believe a team that could not win more than half of their conference games is playing in 2008.
Texas A&M (6-5, 3-4) Idle. Another hilarious season to watch from afar as they had hopes of winning the conference this year and are instead settling for getting rid of Fran. Beating Texas for the 2nd straight time would be a good way to go out and jockey them for a much better bowl. Alamo maybe?
Baylor (3-9, 0-8) Lost v. OSU 45-14. Same old shit. Hire Mike Singletary.

Zou Dave
I started to point out all the inaccuracies in his statements and then decided to take the high ground too...
We have two great football teams in the area for the first time, arguably ever, they are well matched and similar in many ways. It will be the game of the year and all the fans can do is bring up crap from 150 years back. There is a great game on saturday and no matter how many misquotings of history I hear or shirts promoting terrorist acts I see (john brown and William Quantrill would both be in gitmo today) it will not detract from that.
Let's play some football and for once celebrate the fact that our teams, and our game matters, no matter who burned each others house 175 years ago.
Raise the crimson and blue flag and rock chalk, boys. Our cause is just and the ignorance great.

What a Nut
Take a look at this. And make sure (as directed) to view the lengthy and over zealous(nicely put)comment by Zou Dave. I won't get into a war of words with these clowns, preferring the high road, but wow. I guess I also have the advantage of knowing that I don't have to rationalize, modify or defend the actions of my state.
Hopefully Zou Dave won't have this newly printed shirt on...
"Our cause is just and our enemies many."
Cause = slavery
Enemies = Kansas (and any other abolitionists)
OK, so maybe that was a little war of words. Less is more.

I found this little link to be pretty damn hilarious. A compilation of the best signs at College Gameday over the weeks. The two best from Saturday's OSU-UM game...

Montage
Nothing like a montage of Booger Picker getting pwned. The music is questionable (Those are some angry Christians!) and may have been done to make methzou fans watch it. You can clearly see all 3 Ints in this game which is 1 less than the Todd has had all season (Ok only 2 of them were booger pickers I will concede that). Save your comments about how good OU is, Texas Tech helped shed a little light on that one this week. Nice work GingerBalls those two videos are spot on.
Never in my 31 years and having suffered through the Bob Valesente and Terry Allen eras did I ever think I would see this on the ESPN main page:
"LSU still is a solid No. 1 in the BCS standings, and new No. 2 Kansas also is firmly entrenched in its spot. If those two teams win out, they will meet in the BCS National Championship Game. That's about all that's certain right now."
All I can say is hell must be mighty cold today. As the Hiphopopotamus said do everything you can to enjoy this ride as you are witnessing history if you are a KU fan (and hell even an MU fan). Here is to hoping the dream goes on a bit longer and we beat the only team who misspells their own state on their jerseys.

Good Times
I like to believe you were already, but if not, start doing everything in your power to enjoy this football season to the fullest extent - because this is the opportunity of a lifetime. I would love to think that Kansas will build on this season and become a regular fixture in the rankings. And I truly believe that this will happen. Hell, it may even happen to Methzouri too. But there is absolutely no reason to assume that the two will ever again be matched up in a de facto quarter-final to the national championship – not to mention that both now look like the favorite in San Antonio.
As for yesterday, I don’t think it could have gone much better. Obviously, no one wanted to see that many penalties, but when the quarterbacks are completing nearly every pass they throw it doesn’t matter much. Hot Toddy started 19/20 (only incompletion was a throw away) and Kerry went 9/9. Said Cyclone Bret Meyer, “Kansas’ offense might be the best we’ve seen. They’re just a really good team.” And that doesn’t even pay heed to the dominating defensive performance that the Jayhawks turned in. In light of the upcoming opponent, let’s first start with the fact that Iowa State outgained the self-proclaimed best offense in the nation that week. Kansas, meanwhile bested the Cyclones by well over 300 yards. And even more staggering, while Kansas held ISU to 52 yards rushing; when in Columbia Alexander Robinson ran for 150 by himself. (More on this later in the week)
But what I really liked about yesterday was the time allotted for some of the ailing Kansas players to rest up. It’s no secret by now that plenty of starters are pretty seriously injured. Given my limited insider knowledge, I don’t know how severe any of them are, but the rest can only help. So not only did Kansas not fall victim to the “trap game,” but they beat Cy so soundly that they didn’t even have to play several of their most valuable players (at all or at least not in entirety).
But back to the specifics, how can one help but not be impressed by the Jayhawks at this point. Whether you truly believe they are the second best team in the nation, there is no logical way to argue that they do not deserve to be ranked as so. Apparently they haven’t played “anyone.” Methzouri (among others) has adopted this rally cry, despite the fact that they have played basically the exact same schedule. The biggest “point” seems to be that Methzou beat Illinois (by 6 on Sept. 1) and lost to OU – so they are inarguably and exponentially better than Kansas. Never mind that you be have to be completely asinine to believe that an 11-0 team could not have at least gone 1-1 v. a good Big 12 team and a slightly above average (at best) Big 10 team. And to take it a step further, let’s look at the tale of the tape. What I’ll do is go along Kansas’ schedule and match it up with Methzou’s (altered for similar opponents)
1. KU v. CMU --- MU v. W. Michigan
Edge: Kansas – Central Michigan won at W. Michigan a while back
2. KU v. SE La. --- MU v. Illinois St.
Push – Honestly, both should be embarrassed to have scheduled these teams
3. KU v. Toledo --- MU @ Ole Miss
Edge: Methzou, I guess. But just know that the only team to allow more points to Ole Miss was Northwestern St. – and Louisiana Tech gave up less.
4. KU v. FIU --- MU v. Illinois
Edge: Methzou, but don’t take this Illinois win for more than it was: pedestrian. Illinois then is not Illinois now (which isn’t to say they are great but they run a spread and have athletes - which might as well be kryptonite to Big 10 defenses)
5. KU @ KSU --- MU @ KSU
Push - I don’t think enough Methzou fans read this for an explanation to be necessary. But if you want to know which game the Purple wanted more, from the AP, "Trotting off the field...Missouri players were serenaded by a group of shirtless, chest-painted Kansas State fans: "Beat KU! Beat KU! Beat KU!"
6. KU v. Baylor --- MU @ OU
Edge: Methzou. No arguing that they played the tougher opponent here. Of course, they lost their game.
7. KU @ CU --- MU @ CU
Push – See # 5
8. KU @ A&M --- MU v. A&M
Edge: Kansas – where do you think it would be tougher to play?
9. KU v. NU --- MU v. NU
Push – Should be clear to everyone by now
10. KU @ OSU --- MU v. Tech
Edge: Kansas – again, played on the road as opposed to at home. And oh yeah, Oklahoma State beat Texas Tech
11. KU v. ISU --- MU v. ISU
Push
So there you go, that’s the humbling reality for us Kansas fans. Methzou has played a far superior schedule and thus doesn’t even need to bother showing up Saturday to be able to beat this lowly Jayhawk team that hasn’t played “anyone.” I mean, shit, they beat the Fighting Illini and lost to Oklahoma - Why even bother fighting it?! Besides, if we start making valid points, they may kill hundreds of innocent people. Lest we forget, “[their] cause is just.”
Picks Recap
With only one real surprise this week - albeit a large one - there was no disparity here. But with bigger fish to fry, how many people thought the biggest game of the regular season would be played at Arrowhead. For that matter, it is pretty much the only entertainment fans at Arrowhead will see all year. Now that OU has joined Oregon in recusing themselves from the discussion, this one is likely to be #2 v. #3, Reesing v. Booger, Mangino v. Pinkel, Jayhawks v. Bushwhackers...And luckily, I'll take the former in all three.

A Year of Firsts... AKA Booger Eaters of the World Unite!
Ok so I am going to pop my posting cherry with the subject of all the firsts this season. I have complete faith it will be a better post than GingerBalls last post as the formatting will be consistent for the entire post making it actually readable. 'Tis what happens when you drink and blog.
Anyway...
We have our first 11 win season at KU, the first time an MU vs KU game will decide the big 12 north, the first time a KU QB is in the heisman discussion since David Jaynes in 1973 (sidenote only the 4th time ever, Douglas in 68, Hadl in 61 were the other two before Jaynes), the first time a KU team is 7-0 in league, the first KU QB to throw 30 TDs in a season, etc I could go on and on. However I think one thing is being over looked this year and I want to bring it to the forefront in my initial post. This could be the first year we have an acknowledged booger eater as a heisman finalist (or even winner). Chase Daniel has combined the rare talents of pass accuracy and booger gastronome to heights never before seen.
In celebration of this rare accomplishment I would like to present to you the chase daniel likes boogers commemorative t-shirt.
We've Got Bush! I don't know what will be on the front yet but suggestions welcome. If I get any actual request for this I will run it off on the best cotton 2 cent per hour small chinese fist of fury can make. This might be a route not to go back 150 years for t-shirt ideas. Because after all we are in the distant future... The year 2000.
Just to get it out there, this high profile distinction will not change the fact that MU is going to get rolled in Camerohead. If we are lucky we might even get to see an old fashion booger rolling and eating at an NFL venue. Understood? Affirmative...

Blow me....Cyclones
A classy way to start off my always sophisticated entries. I gotta tell you, I am not too worried about ISU. A 2:30 televised game at home and on Senior Day? These kids will come out ready to knock someone's dick in the dirt. B-Mac might singlehandedly decapitate someone out there tomorrow and Brian Seymour will get double-teamed on special teams to effectively provide huge holes for our return game...that's right Seymour BITCH! As my partner in crime described below we shouldn't take anyone too lightly and I agree...to an extent. This Kansas team does an excellent job of coming out and being ready to take care of business, save for our first offensive possessions of the game.
It would take a mighty oversight to let the 'Clones come in and hang around too long. Who am I to look ahead, I am just a simple fan....I fell on some ice and later got thawed out by some of your scientists. Your world frightens and confuses me! Sometimes the honking horns of your traffic make me want to get out of my BMW.. and run off into the hills, or wherever.....Sometimes when I get a message on my fax machine, I wonder: "Did little demons get inside and type it?" I don't know! My primitive mind can't grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I DO know - The Jayhawks will not be overlooking the Cyclones and are entitled to no less than two million in compensatory damages, and two million in punitive damages. Thank you.
If it please and sparkles with our readers, may I move on? Sunshine? Ok, let us move on
Since I have been pretty pitiful about posting my picks for the weeks prior I guess I will do some this week. I have decided that I will base all picks this week on the most badass name on the competing teams roster...this should be interesting, actually probably not

KU/ISU Preview
I started this last night and had to scrap a lot of it after Oregon politely recused themselves from the discussion. [*Side note* Assuming Dixon returns, that Rose Bowl against the Big 10 should be hilarious. We got a glimpse in Ann Arbor earlier this year. *End side note*] Personally, I'm not ecstatic about this. That #2 spot is jinxed (hopefully only when playing an unranked opponent). Kansas would have already jumped Oregon anyway. Who this helps is Oklahoma and Missouri. Whereas Kansas may have been the only team that truly controlled their own destiny, I now believe that all three hold that "distinction." But first things first, if you don't think Iowa State can come to Lawrence and end all of this, you're fucking nuts. This Adonis is looking past it, but the Jayhawks should not. Here is a slightly more modest title.
Well there's no hiding from it now. In addition to being one of the interviewees for the Pop Culture Grid in the new SI, Hot Toddy has also prepared a skit with Desmond Howard that will air tomorrow on GameDay. Oh yeah, and he got a letter from the Heisman Trophy Trust. As for the coach, the Big Man has been a guest on the Mike Tirico Show and ESPN First Take. Something tells me there were a few more appearances as well. As a team, during the week Kansas has graced the front of the web pages of ESPN, SportsIllustrated, CollegeFootballNews, FoxSports, Yahoo!Sports, CBSSportsline, and many others. And I'm neglecting to mention the countless national radio shows that have centered discussion on the Jayhawks. Needless to say, the spotlight has never been on quite like this. If Kansas were not playing at home, on Senior Day, against Iowa State, I would be extremely nervous. As it is, I am just comfortably numb. And that will last until about kickoff when I will begin nervously shaking until Kansas puts its first points on the board. Let's all hope the Hawks can handle this "pressure" a bit better. After last week, I am confident they can.
Kansas Offense v. Iowa State Defense:
In every game this year, this has been a favorable match-up for the Jayhawks. And that should not change this week. Iowa State doesn't have a terrible defense, but it's nothing special either. Their best player, Alvin Bowen (led nation in tackles last year) has not been nearly as good this year, but has come on strong lately. As a unit, they allow roughly 375 yards as a means for scoring slightly over 30 points a game. This number jumps to about 34 in Big 12 play, but has been much better in the last month. Since being destroyed by Texas 56-3, they have played OU, MU, KSU, and CU compiling a collective score of 107 (Opp) – 97 (ISU). That's not too shabby for a team that couldn't beat Kent St., Northern Iowa or Toledo in September.
With that said, there is no reason Kansas shouldn't score 35+ this week. Though they have been much better as of late, they are still Iowa State and have not shut anyone down. BY FAR, their best defensive performance of year was against OU – who you have to imagine, forgot they had a game. Even in their 2 conference wins, against KSU and CU, they have allowed 20 and 28 points, respectively. Neither of those 2 teams have the offensive ability of KU. Long story short- if Kansas takes care of the ball, they will not have any trouble duplicating the 41 they scored on Cy last year. Fortunately, Iowa State doesn't force many turnovers and Kansas leads the nation in margin. Edge: Kansas
Kansas Defense v. Iowa State Offense:
In their last 3 games they have averaged 30 points a game. In the 8 preceding, they averaged roughly 15. It's hard for me to believe they have really become twice as good, so I'm inclined to believe that opponents started taking a week off and in 2 of those 3 weeks, Cy has made them pay. For the season, they are racking up 335 yards (last in conference) on the way to scoring 19 points a game (11th in Big 12). After fearing him so much, it is amazing to me that Todd Blythe only has 5 touchdowns – though he had 2 last week, so it looks like he is waking up as well. And it should be mentioned that he does have 50 catches for 759 yards, so it's not like he has been non-existent, just not very productive. Since he is by far their biggest receiving threat, I like to think we'll only see him covered by Aqib or zoned with help for Harper/Harris. R.J. Sumrall should not be ignored either, but Blythe is the main concern here.
An interesting twist they have added in lately is the 2 QB system, now rotating in freshman Austen Arnaud with the face of the program Bret Meyer. Speaking of which, has a player regressed more than Bret Meyer. He came into last year with as much hype as any QB in the conference after two successful seasons and nearly winning the Big 12 north as a sophomore. Since then, they have won 3 out of 15 Big 12 games. I don't know enough about Arnaud to know if this will have much of an impact, but it's probably not a coincidence that they have won the only 2 games in which he has played a real role.
The real catalyst behind their offensive "surge" of late has been the running game. They have several capable backs, but after not getting many carries early on, Alexander Robinson has emerged as the best of them. He ran for 149 against Methzouri and 127 against Colorado. I followed up last week's games, explaining that the rushing yards allowed had caused an unwanted tickle in my anus. And it's still there. But I do not think Kansas will have any trouble shutting down the run this week and even if they do, the tickle will linger. With that said, I still think this is a huge key to the game. As mentioned, Iowa State finding the endzone has coincided with their finding a running game. It's no coincidence and if Kansas can make them one-dimensional, they are not nearly good enough of a passing team to hang with the Hawks. Edge: Kansas
Special Teams:
Whereas Kansas leads the nation in kick returns, Iowa State ranks a cool 115th. And though Kansas has not exhibited a stellar punt return unit, they are quite a bit better than Iowa State, who ranks dead last, with an average return of 3 yards. They both have senior place kickers. On the year, Culbertson is 10/18 with a long of 42 (second longest is 30) and had one game in which he went 5/6. After last week, it looks like Webb has exited his slump and for the season is 16/21 with a long of 48. Before the year, one would have thought Kansas would have the better punter in Kyle Tucker. As it stands, they are pretty similar, both averaging in the mid to high 30's. Edge: Kansas
I feel like I have written the same thing for every game in this paragraph. And fortunately, it has pretty much fallen into place that way. Kansas is the superior team in every phase of the game. One thing can lose this game for them and that's focus. After what KU did to ISU in 2005, ruining their opportunity to win the north, it's hard to imagine Iowa State and especially its seniors not being ready to play tomorrow. Kansas, on the other hand, is being bombarded with media attention and praise – all the while being reminded about some game next week. If they can truly place all of that aside and dial in for this game; take care of the ball and play assignment football, they will emerge 11-0. If not, Iowa State will put up a much bigger fight than anyone in blue wants to see. I'm hoping for and counting on the former, primarily because of one thing: it's Senior Day. Do you think for one second that Brandon McAnderson, James McClinton, Derek Fine and Brian Seymour are going to work this hard to let it all slip away in their last game in Lawrence? Against Iowa State? Me neither. Kansas 41 Iowa State 13
**Basketball Note** Congratulations to Kansas and Brandon Rush on the victory last night. Even watching on TV I got chills when I saw him run to the scorer's table and after his first shot, he did not disappoint. And kudos to Rodrick Stewart for playing a good game and especially for the dunk and block – incredible. There is A LOT of work to do to get this team ready for a run – primarily in the paint - but with the guard play they are getting, there is no team they can't beat.

Hiphopopotamus' Hypothesis
Just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? Alliteration at it's best. As I mentioned in the recap, we're going to see if we can't get some other picks posted as well. Missouri's classy antics have gotten GingerBalls a bit riled up so we may even be blessed with his picks this week. And don't hold your breath, but we'll try and coax Hus Hawk into an inaugural post with his as well. "Our cause is just…" (Jackasses) As if everything else weren't bad enough, try explaining that one.
On the season (5 weeks) ATS 22-6-1, SU 23-6
Oklahoma (-8) @ Texas Tech
With only four games on the Big 12 slate this week, it's pretty slim pickins as far as a game of the week. For some reason, I heard on the radio that this was the GameDay destination as well. After looking into it, I have since found out that it is not and shockingly, they will instead go to Ann Arbor for the Ohio State/Michigan game. Though I hate them, I will root for OSU because it weakens Oregon's schedule and ensures that the Big 10 will only get 1 BCS team. But here is a good and hilarious argument for Michigan - and a template for future use in rivalry games. But I digress.
How Tech wins: 1) Sooner Secondary. Well everyone else has exploited OU's secondary, so there is really no reason to think Tech should not do the same. Then again, Missouri completely humiliated Tech by getting pressure on Harrell and they don't have anyone like Auston English on their team. However, Baylor didn't have much of an issue blocking well enough to spring receivers deep, so logically Tech should not either. We'll see. 2) Defense. Oklahoma may not have bothered to game plan on offense, instead relying on the ineptitude of the Tech defense. If Tech could ever play defense as well as her, they could be formidable.
How OU wins: 1) Smear the Queer. As Missouri and Colorado proved, even the Tech offense isn't spectacular if timing is disrupted. As mentioned, OU has a very suspect secondary and in order to help them out, they need a gallant effort from its pass rush. 2) Come to play. With Bedlam and the Big 12 Championship game looming, OU can ill-afford to overlook this game, especially if they have hopes beyond the Big 12.
There is no reason OU should not win this game. As is the case nearly every season, Tech came in hyped to contend and instead has shown that they have a very potent offense (when clicking) and a high school defense. If OU is truly a national title contender, they win this game easily. Oklahoma 52 Tech 38
Methzouri (-7) @ Kansas State
So Kansas State just gave up over 700 yards and 73 points to Nebraska and they are only a touchdown dog to the #5 team in the nation. Oh, by the way, that team is #4 in total offense and #7 in scoring offense. A rule that typically applies in the NFL, may apply here. If it's too good to be true, stay away. Buy maybe not?
How KSU wins. Wow, I really don't know. 1) Play Defense? Since their upset of Texas, KSU resumed the self-proclaimed Lynch Mob alias for their defense. From that point, they have allowed 35 points a game, culminating in being torched by the hapless Huskers for 73. Since they are celebrating their pro-slavery attitude anyway, maybe Methzouri should assume the pseudonym instead. 2) Balanced offense. It seems like I say this every week, so one would think Ron Prince would have caught on by now. I'm sure he checks this daily. But for some reason, he continues to pass, pass and pass some more, despite the fact that Freeman averages 6.8 yards per attempts while James Johnson averages 6 yards per carry. Factor in the difference in risk and sacks (12) and they are gaining nothing by passing this much. That flaw is even more emphasized when you consider how easy a one dimensional team is to defend and that Freeman has only thrown for 14 touchdowns while mixing in 10 picks.
How MU wins. 1) Eyes on the prize? One would think that Methzouri would not look past this game to the Border War, but with Gary Pinkel, you never can be sure. But in all reality if they lose and KU takes care of business, next week's game is for nothing but bowl position as KU will have clinched the North. 2) Pass coverage. When Pig Brown went down, I thought Methzouri's run defense would suffer. And while I'm sure it has slightly, it has been their pass defense has regressed more so. As you may have gathered, I think the Purple throw too much, but I don't see that changing this week, especially if the confederates can't stop them.
Candidly, there is only one way Kansas State wins this game and that's on emotion. Methzouri will have to lack it because they are looking past the Purple and the Power Towels will have to be chocked full of it trying to redeem themselves for the last 2 weeks and gain bowl eligibility. Part of me wants to believe this will happen; if for no other reason than the coaches. Pinkel is obviously notorious for a collapse and while Prince seems horrible some weeks, he has been able to expose some poorly coached teams in big games (see: Texas). Then again, they got 73 hung on them by a team coming off 5 straight losses with a lame duck head coach. Can Genie pull it off? Methzouri 45 KSU 37
Oklahoma St.(-14) @ Baylor
Let's be honest. This one isn't going to carry much clout outside of Waco and Stillwater. And I'm not sure it's going to carry much there either. As Kramer says to Sally, "Why don't you just give up?" Amazingly, if Tech upsets OU and OSU wins out, they will win the South so they definitely still have something to play for. Contrarily, if OSU loses, they probably will not be bowl eligible and Baylor will avoid going defeated through conference play. So that's what on the line here. OSU 42 Baylor 24
Brasky fans v. Kevin Cosgrove
They don't call 'em the classiest fans in the nation for nothin' folks.
I wonder where this behavior comes from? Here possibly?
Kansas/Iowa State Pregame should be up later today or tomorrow so check back.

Leon Awesomeness
Leon gives a little pep-talk to the Jayhawk players before the Iowa State game...
Junior cornerback Aqib Talib has been named one of 15 "Players to Watch" for the 2007 Walter Camp Football Foundation Player of the Year Award it was announced on Tuesday.Somebody actually uses some good numbers to question KU's rankings...not that it matters since we will prove ourselves if we do in fact win out.
Mangino is one of 15 candidates up for the George Munger Award for top coach in College Football.
Found this little juvenile stunt to be a little bit tasteless, yet not surprising from a KSU message boardSee that little part about KSUFans is a proud supporter of the Brook Berringer Flight School? Yeah, pretty messed up if you know the background story...especially in bad taste after getting stomped by the Bugeaters...
Brook Warren Berringer
(July 9, 1973 - April 18, 1996) was a quarterback for the University of Nebraska football team in the mid-1990s. Berringer came to Nebraska from Goodland, Kansas and played a back-up role to Tommie Frazier. He is best known for replacing an injured Tommie Frazier during the 1994 season and leading the Cornhuskers to seven consecutive wins and to the Orange Bowl national championship game against the University of Miami Hurricanes. Berringer was expected to be drafted in the 1996 NFL Draft, but he died in a plane crash two days before the draft. Berringer, an amateur pilot, was in control of a 1946 Piper Cub over Raymond, Nebraska, when the aircraft went down in an alfalfa field. Friend Tobey Lake, the brother of Berringer's girlfriend Tiffini, was also killed in the crash.
What? Too soon?
Kansas University, we may have our faults as all schools do, yet we are rivals with two schools who lack an ounce of class in their collective fan bases.

I want to punchasize all the talking heads in the, well, head. I love all the press that has been showered onto our deserving Hawks, I just hate all this talk about the Jayhawks being undeserving of their ranking and BCS position. We are just about exactly where we should be, everything is going to play itself out and the Hawks will end up exactly where the last few games of this season and the Big 12 championship dictate. So, instead of over-analyzing let us enjoy this season and it's unpredictability and get past Iowa State, then the real season begins, enough of these warm-ups.

Wow, I would love to be a African-American and a Missouri Fan. These fucking Slavers are going to make me even crazier than a Husker trying to figure out why Ganz was behind Keller all season. You know, I am not sure I really want the nation to know all the details of this, the bitterest of rivalries, but it will be exposed. Even though Kansas ultimately came out on top during the Civil War and has continued to keep the Slavers in their place, on a national stage people are really going to see the undying and unfathomable hatred between these schools and states. I just have this odd feeling that most people watching the game in New Jersey let's say, just might not get the significance of the game. The only reason people call OSU v. Michigan "The Rivalry" is because Kansas and SlaveU have had some pretty awful football teams. I know those two schools(OSU, UM) have a HUGE dislike for each other and each feel superior to the other for many reasons, however, when it comes to the game at Camarohead with everything on the line....it will be a miracle is someone is not killed by one of the other teams fans. I am glad the gameday crew will be there as I am sure the majority of the country will no doubt jump on the Kansas bandwagon because, how could you not sympathize more with KU over MU. Anyway, those meth-loving inbreds to the east have always done everything in bad taste...so why should they stop now. So here's to you Mizzou....
Speaking of the Wyo-Utes game...that is some good stuff, that is why you don't guarantee victories i guess, or the Utes will stick it up there and break it off. I didn't think that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints would approve of that.
