Basketball Starts Tonight

Apologies are in order (though not entirely heartfelt) for the lack of any basketball content to date. We do, however, feel a bit disrespectful toward the reigning national champions. It feels like just yesterday we were drunkenly running amok through the River Walk in San Antonio. Ahh, good times... But it's still football season and we have to pick and choose where our energy is exhausted. To this point, most of it has gone to the football team and that will continue to be the case for the next few weeks and then again come Bowl season. With that said, once there are real games being played (Nov. 16) we will start amping up that coverage as time provides.

For now, enjoy the first exhibition this evening, but remember that almost no one on the court (despite this starting lineup) had anything to do with this glorious picture. Quick note: I don't want to speculate too much on this team, but I have a feeling we're in for a couple of really up and down months. From what I've seen they look freakishly athletic, but have no idea how to play as a team or orchestrate a game plan. They might be frustrating, but they should also be fun. Looking forward to another great year. Rock Chalk!
