So this is new

Kansas is now 10-0 for the first time since the 19th century. I believe a guy by the name of James Naismith was doing some coaching then. I don't know about you all, but I am as giddy as a schoolgirl. Anyone who saw the ABC broadcast knows that Kansas has as many road wins this year as they had in all 5 of the previous seasons under the big man. And speaking of which, if you didn't see the ABC broadcast, find a way to, because Musberger had some not so subtle jabs at Mangino.

And I'll tell you what else has me excited about this glorious day. Oklahoma and Missouri. A&M put up an easy 26 at Missouri and left points on the field. Baylor, meanwhile put up 21 and 400 yards on OU in Norman. I know they both won comfortably, but those are happy stats for Kansas fans. Kansas, on the other hand was going up against one of the best offenses in the nation and was playing in a hostile environment and yielded 28 points. I'm not saying that was a fantastic performance and I'm not extremely confident in their ability to stop MU or OU yet. But they sure should be able to score against both of them. But first things first, the trap game of all trap games comes next week. THANK EVERYTHING IT IS IN LAWRENCE! I'm not the least bit worried, but ISU has won 2 straight and seem to be putting together a decent defense. Kansas fans need to come out in full force and help the team get to 11-0 on Senior Day, and headed to Arrowhead.

Kansas is 10-0 and should be #3 in the BCS as of tomorrow. And they have done it by being balanced and disciplined. Again tonight, they only had 3 penalties and had 0 turnovers. This isn't to sell the player's ability short, but that is winning some games. And they were again balanced tonight (though not quite as much) offensively, running for 170 and throwing for 360. Defensively, I am not upset, but not extremely satisfied. The pass defense was just fine. I was surprised at the vulnerability of the rush defense. I have long been a believer in Dantrell Savage but I didn't expect OSU to out-rush KU. All in all though, they swarmed to the ball, made stops when they had to and really gave the offense an opportunity to build a cushion. And let's not forget how good of an offense they were up against. Marcus Henry was fantastic. Aqib made a play when they needed one. McClinton just about took a hand-off early on in the second half. B-Mac ran tough and smart. Pretty much everyone did exactly what they needed to do to get this win. What else can you say, but...Hot Toddy!
